Gabriella Azzopardi Profile

Gabriella AzzopardiBorn in 1982 Gabriella Azzopardi, studied art and design at the; 'Emvin Cremona', art and design centre, which was situated in Valletta, Malta, and obtained a diploma in industrial design, (1998-2002). She studied under Mr. Emanuel Fiorentino, and Mr. Luciano Micallef, amongst other remarkable lecturers. After the diploma course, Gabriella furthered her studies in advanced art, history of art, photography and photo manipulation.

Gabriella is a self-taught artist, fascinated by the world of art since childhood. She is very meticulous in her work and gives very much importance to detail in her subjects. In her teenage years she discovered her main style was surrealism and visionary art. The psyche transforms the emotions and thoughts it receives from real life, into otherworldly visions full of symbolism and meaning, therefore Gabriella's works are product of her personal experiences in her life. Many surreal visions are also received during dreams at night...incredible scenes and places that remain existent into the mind forever.

Gabriella Azzopardi participated in various collective exhibitions in Malta, and held her first solo exhibition in 2009. She presently works as a designer and freelance visual artist. Some of her works are now permanently exhibited and for sale at the; 'Medina', fine dining restaurant in Mdina, Malta.
